Hour Building Packages To Accelerate Your Flight Training
LFC is able to offer hour building packages to foreign student pilots that have a limited period of time in which to complete their training.
Many students training in the UK, Europe, UAE, Asia and many other countries choose to do hour-build in South Africa.
If you are doing a modular Commercial or Frozen Airline Transport Pilot Licence, doing your hour-building with us will be a credit towards your licence. This can be done by obtaining a Holiday Pilots Licence Validation, this process is quick and simple.
English Requirements
South Africa and LFC uses an International English Language Testing System for entry into its flight training programmes.
IELTS is the standard that is used in the South African education system and students need a good result to ensure that they can enter the course they need. A minimum score of 6.0 is required to commence flight training in South Africa.
All the theory and radio communications are in English so it is important that the student/pilot has competency in this language.
This type of hour building will elevate your flying to a new level. This will be a massive credit to your foreign licence, an experience that no other country in the world can offer.
Medical Certificates and Exams
No additional South African Medical Certificate required as you will be flying on your foreign Medical Certificate and just one exam, Air law.
Holiday Pilot’s Licence Validation
If you would like to hour build towards a higher licence or just fly for pleasure you can apply for a holiday validation.
The process for foreign pilots to validate their licence with Lanseria Flight Centre is:
Scan a copy of your last 3 pages of your log book with a 12 month summary and a full copy of your current licence to us.
We will submit these documents to the SA CAA for verification, depending on your CAA you may be required to contact them, complete a form and pay a verification fee.
When the verification process is complete you will be issued a SA CAA licence number, you will be required to write the Air Law exam.
On completion of the exam you will be required to do a flight test, then your validated licence will be issued.
